Conscious Recovery, a nationally recognized behavioral health treatment modality, attended NAATP 2022 and is pleased to announce the addition of two new team members, Amy Van Linge and Kristi Kettle!
What is Conscious Recovery?

Conscious Recovery is a treatment modality that helps adults and adolescents struggling with addiction, mental health, disordered eating. Conscious Recovery is a suite of behavioral health products and services, including books/workbooks, an interactive online training portal, robust curriculum, and in-person trainings. Conscious Recovery has collaborated with several PhDs who are experts in their respective fields to bring Conscious Recovery to all facets of behavioral health. Conscious Recovery is a fresh perspective on addiction that asks the question: what happens when we view ourselves or our clients as broken? What does that perspective create? What would it be like if we opened to a completely new way of viewing addiction?
The core principles of Conscious Recovery are:
-Underneath all addictive behavior is an essential self that is whole and perfect
-The addiction itself has never been the “problem” but was a strategy that has lost its effectiveness
-Treating addiction must go beyond addressing symptoms and get down to the underlying root causes of destructive behavior
-The root causes of addictive behavior are unresolved trauma, spiritual disconnection, and toxic shame
-There is a pathway to permanent freedom through the adoption of spiritual practices and principles
